Our names are Wendy and Richard Unsworth.
We have been travelling for both work and pleasure since the late 1970′s. We love to share our experiences through writing and photography.
Whilst living and working in Central and East Africa our interest in wildlife developed and over fourteen years we were lucky enough to travel extensively over huge areas of that continent.
Since returning to the UK we have travelled to Finland, Thailand, Australia, Singapore, Egypt and Israel as well as the Indian Ocean countries: Sri Lanka, Seychelles, Mauritius and the Maldives.
Lately our focus has been on the Caribbean and Central America; Antigua, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Costa Rica. With so much to see in this area of the world, we have embarked on a ‘gap year’ (or two) having missed out in our younger years!
We hope that you will enjoy our photography and reading about our personal travel experiences in our blog. We are also developing detailed regional Min-eguides starting with Costa Rica. Please tell us what you think, share your own experiences and let us know if there is anything you think we might have missed.

We met you both in Contadora Island. Ken and Belenda Runyon. I came back to your site today with the intention of seeing what you have been up to. Congratulations, your journey continues. I remember you telling me that I put too much time and emphasis on work, and not enough time doing what we like best…(what you are doing). In retrospect, I suppose that is why I came back to your site to look and be envious. I am certainly taking your advise more seriously and hope that one day I will join you both on our own passion of travelling and seeing what is really out there. Nice meeting you today, whilst in search of the Brambling. I had some poor shots today, though as they say your best shot will be the next. I shall take you advice and use RAW. I have looked at your photos and they are stunning along with your amasing travels. If you ever have time, type jcorn2 in google and give me some advice from my Flickr shots.
